Bourbon hogshead 8572 – 52.2%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Medium amber
Nose: Stewed apples, banana, apricot, custard, waxed wood, hints of nutmeg and pepper.
Palate: Apples, grapefruit, pineapple, butterscotch, ginger, nutmeg, hints of pepper, dry tannins.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly spicy.
Overall: A very nice dram certainly, a tad on the dry side maybe, but not quite as spectacular as some may expect from a Longmorn of this age.
Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
