Littlemill 1989/2011 Malts of Scotland

by Oliver Klimek on June 6, 2012

Sherry butt 2511 – 58.2%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Raisins, apples, burnt sugar, fresh hay, toasted almonds and nutmeg.
Palate: Apple strudel with almonds and whipped cream, dried apricot, hints of coffee and nutmeg.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly spicy.
Overall: Some very nice flavours can be found in this malt, but despite being cask strength, there is a somewhat watery undercurrent.

Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Scored blind for the Malt Maniacs Awards 2011 – Re-tasted for notes
