My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Fresh apples, bananas, honey, hay, pine wood, , hints of nuts and ginger.
Palate: Mixed fruit cocktail, vanilla, caramelized nuts, tea, treacle, ginger and pepper, slightly waxy mouthfeel.
Finish: Long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: The old age does not really show here although there is some noticeable wood. A lively and very enjoyable whisky from a distillery normally associated with mediocre malts.
