Oloroso sherry – 46%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Raisins, lemon, orange zest, hints of vinegar, cinnamon and some waxed wood.
Palate: Raisins, caramelized lemon, grapefruit, toasted nuts, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly spicy.
Overall: Because of its somewhat sour elements this was the least favourite whisky of the Scotch blind tasting competition. Not really a bad one, but not really ‘premium’ either.
Rating: 83/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
