First fill sherry – 46.9%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark copper
Nose: Grandpa’s cigar box in the old cupboard in the attic, orange marmalade, prunes, cassis, nutmeg.
Palate: Orange zest, prunes, espresso, cinnamon, nutmeg, quite some wood but not really disturbing.
Finish: Long, fruity and dry.
Overall: Classic old-time sherry here, gorgeous nose, strong attack on the palate, then getting a little timid before growing again to a strong finish.
