by Oliver Klimek on May 19, 2012

For La Maison du Whisky – Cask 13316 – 55.1%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Apples, orange zest, honey, freshly cut wood, caramel, hints of cinnamon and coriander seeds.
Palate: Apples, raisins, honey, butterscotch, cinnamon, hints of pepper.
Finish: Long, sweet fruit, slightly spicy.
Overall: This is a nice but rather sweet dram with a very creamy mouthfeel, the nose being the strongest asset.

Rating: 84/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Tasted blind for the Malt Manics Awards 2011, re-tasted for notes.
