Bowmore 2000/2011 Douglas Laing

by Oliver Klimek on May 19, 2012

For La Maison du Whisky – Ref 7071 -58.4%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright copper
Nose: Smoked bacon, prunes, liquorice, cloves, hints of pepper.
Palate: Mild peat, prunes, cherries, milk chocolate, cinnamon, cloves and hints of pepper.
Finish: Long, fruity and smoky.
Overall: It reminds me a bit of the Bowmore Darkest, but the youthful freshness makes this dram even more delightful.

Rating: 89/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Tasted blind for the Malt Manics Awards 2011, re-tasted for notes.
