For La Maison du Whisky – Cask 4241 – 46%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Apples, grapes, vanilla, lemon zest, nuts, hints of fresh hay and ginger.
Palate: Apples, grapes, honey, vanilla, hints of citrus and ginger, white pepper
Finish: Long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: Not overly complex but perfectly balanced, simply a straightforward young-ish bourbon cask whisky how it should be.
Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
Tasted blind for the Malt Manics Awards 2011, re-tasted for notes.
