Bunnahabhain 1979/2011 Adelphi

by Oliver Klimek on May 14, 2012

Cask 8893 – 46.5%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark copper
Nose: Rich Christmas cake with mint sauce, cigars in a dusty old cupboard.
Palate: Prunes, dates, cocoa, orange zest, cinnamon, nutmeg.
Finish: Suprisingly short, fruity and dry.
Overall: The nose of this oldie is very impressive, but palate and finish are strangely weak in comparison.

Rating: 84/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Tasted blind for the Malt Manics Awards 2011, re-tasted for notes.
