My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark copper
Nose: Prunes, dates, dried figs, orange zest, cigar box, hints of waxed leather, cinnamon and allspice.
Palate: Prunes, figs, raisins, toasted nuts, espresso, cinnamon, nutmeg and a slightly sulphury tang
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly dry.
Overall: If you don’t mind a pinch of sulphur, this is an excellent, deep and richly sherried malt for you. The wood is there but does not overpower it.
Rating: 87/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
