Bourbon cask 2123 – 60.6%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright gold
Nose: Strong smoke, pineapple, banana, honey, vanilla, old oak, ginger and pepper.
Palate: Strong peat, grapefruit, ginger and pepper, lots of wood tannins.
Finish: Long, dry and smoky.
Overall: A very strong wood influence takes away some of the fruity delights pleasing the nose. This is a very un-medicinal Laphroaig.
Rating: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
