Glenlivet Founders Reserve

by Oliver Klimek on April 20, 2012

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Raisins, butterscotch, stewed apples, orange zest, hints of tea and cinnamon.
Palate: Orange blossom honey, butterscotch, raisins, dark chocolate, strong tea, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish: Medium long, fruity and dry.
Overall: The first moments on the palate are wonderful, but the flavours fade away rather quickly. It has an gentle sherry influence that does not dominate the spirit.

Rating: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Scored blind for the Malt Maniacs Awards 2011 – Re-tasted for notes
