CS Collection – Bourbon barrel 44 – 57.4%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Wood smoke, liquorice, lemon, banana, vailla, hints of tar and pepper.
Palate: Peat, grapefruit, banana, vanilla, liquorice, cloves, mild pepper and a pinch of salt.
Finish: Long, smoky and slightly fruity.
Overall: It may not be immediately recognizable as a Laphroaig, but it’s a fine example of a rather typical Islay style malt.
Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
