Refill hogshead HH 7542 – 47.4%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Burnt sugar, polished wood, banana peel, sweet grapes, hints of caradmom.
Palate: Caramel, peach, banana, vanilla fudge, cinnamon, nutmeg and pepper.
Finish: Long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: Really a typical old grain whisky, showing off lots of fruity, sweet and spicy flavours. The caramel/peach mix is delightful but it also has a sharp edge.

Rating: 87/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Scored blind for the Malt Maniacs Awards 2011 – Re-tasted for notes
