My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Caramel, apples, raisins, polished wood, hints of nuts and nutmeg.
Palate: Apples, walnuts, raisins, honey, vanilla, hints of ginger and nutmeg, black pepper.
Finish: Rather long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: Like in the first batch, the nose makes promises that palate can’t quite deliver. The mouthfeel is a bit thin as well for such an old whisky.
Rating: 84/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
