Port Charlotte 2002/2010 Malts of Scotland

by Oliver Klimek on April 11, 2012

Bourbon hogshead 1172 – 64.2%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Strong tarry smoke covering nuts, honey, vanilla and tinned fruit, seasoned with cloves and pepper.
Palate: Strong peat, lemon and orange zest, sweet honey, vanilla, toasted nuts, liquorice, cloves and black pepper.
Finish: Very long, sweet and smoky.
Overall: Ultra-rich in taste but quite sweet, this is a great dram for contemplative sipping with a little going a long way.

Rating: 89/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
