Octave series – Cask 400926 – 51.7%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Medium amber
Nose: A polished oak table set on fire, the tropical fruits lying on it getting caramelized.
Palate: Fruity peat with pineapples and banana, citrus, vanilla, liquorice, cloves and nutmeg, rather adstrignent tannins.
Finish: Long, sweet and smoky, fruity and dry.
Overall: Quite a good dram overall, but I am not sure if putting it into an octave cask really improved it.
Rating: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
