By Blackadder – Cask 343 – 46%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pale straw
Nose: Banana, lemon zest, vanilla, some whiffs of chewing gum, grass and hay.
Palate: Malt, vanilla, a vague fruitness covering strange vegetal undertones.
Finish: Short, actually very short.
Overall: The nose of this is actually quite nice, but on the palate you notice that an obviously worn-out cask was not able to breathe much life into this spirit.
Rating: 67/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
Scored blind for the Malt Maniacs Awards 2011 – Re-tasted for notes
