Springbank 1992/2011 Berry Bros.

by Oliver Klimek on March 30, 2012

Cask 61 – 46%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Straw
Nose: Smoked ham, a fishing pier at low tide, orange zest, honey, vanilla, nutmeg.
Palate: Very mild peat, mixed citrus fruit, honey, hints of liquiorice, butterscotch and savoury herbs.
Finish: Very long, fruity and slightly smoky.
Overall: Pretty much a quintessential Springbank with a very nice freshness. Even though it is not cask strength the flavours are densely packed yet delicate.

Rating: 89/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Scored blind for the Malt Maniacs Awards 2011 – Re-tasted for notes
