Laphroaig 1990/2011 Wilson & Morgan

by Oliver Klimek on March 24, 2012

Cask 2351 -56.3%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright copper
Nose: Bacon in a smoking chamber, cassis, cherries, dark chocolate, tea, cinnamon and cloves.
Palate: Dry peat, cassis and blackberries with a bacon tang, cocoa, dark caramel, cinnamon, cloves, hints of pepper, wood tannins.
Finish: Long, fruity with dry smoke.
Overall: The full sherry impact masks the Laphroaig-ness here, still this is a fine dram which shows that peat and sherry can get along very well.

Rating: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
