Old Master series – Sherry cask 10042 – 58.4%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Cold fireplace, raisins, orange zest, honey, fudge, sticking one’s nose into a dusty old cupboard, hints pf pepper.
Palate: Medium peat, honey, raisins, caramel, cloves, hints of nutmeg and pepper.
Finish: Long, fruity and smoky.
Overall: The mild sherry influence adds a nice fruity and sweet twist to this Caol Ila. Water is not really needed here.
