Blended Malt – 40%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Medium amber
Nose: Strong wood smoke, vanilla, honey, hints of apples and nuts, nutmeg, hints of pepper.
Palate: Mild peat, honey, custard, apples, raisins, liquorish snails, nutmeg and pepper.
Finish: Long, sweet and smoky.
Overall: This combination of sweetness and peat works excellently. With a few more ABV percents this could even have broken into Top Dram terittory.
