My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Straw
Nose: Wood smoke, altlantic beach, pineapple, vanilla, lemon zest, white pepper.
Palate: Dry peat, liquorice, lemon zest, hints of tropical fruit, vanilla fudge, ginger, strong white pepper.
Finish: Very long, smoky and spicy.
Overall: A terrific whisky. It needs some time to open up, but the richness of flavours is stunning. It can compete with the finest from Islay.
