Glenmorangie Artein 15 yo

Sassicaia finish – 46%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Pinkish amber
Nose: Cherries, strawberries, caramel, vanilla, hints of citrus.
Palate: Mixed berry cocktail with Crème Chantilly, hints of demerara sugar and nutmeg.
Finish: Long and fruity.
Overall: Surprisingly gentle, to the verge of feeling watery. The whisky steps into the background here. But it’s a nice dram, not more, not less.

Rating: 83/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

I don’t know about you, but I like the “real whisky” – not the designed / weird wine finish Glenmorangie. PX Sonnalta worked fine for me…
I guess Glenmorangie has all kinds of customers…

I wouldn’t condemn finishes per se. For example I prefer the Talisker DE over the regular 10 yo. Some finishes work, some don’t. This one is somewhere in the middle.
