Caol Ila 27 yo 1983 Single Cask Collection

by Oliver Klimek on January 2, 2012

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Medium amber
Nose: Raisins, oranges, sea air, mild smoke, toffee, cinnamon.
Palate: Peat, orange marmalade, Christmas cake, fruit and nuts chocolate, raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish: Long, fruity and smoky.
Overall: Slightly unusual flavours in thie sherried Caol Ila, but it is a very nice dram with lots to explore.

Rating: 87/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
