Mortlach 1998/2006 C&S Dram Collection

by Oliver Klimek on November 27, 2011

Bourbon barrel 9914 – 60.7%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Straw
Nose: Honey, vanilla, ripe banana, hints of pineapple, cinnamon, hints of pepper.
Palate: Honey, tropical fruit cocktail, vanilla, hints of green tea, nutmeg, white pepper.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly dry.
Overall: Very fast cask maturation here, it does not matter at all that the whisky is ‘only’ 8 years old. It is rich and creamy with a nice slightly dry fruitiness.

Rating: 86/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
