My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Pale straw
Nose: Chimney smoke, liquorice, vanilla, lemon zest, nutmeg and cloves, medicinal hints.
Palate: Strong peat, liquorice, honey, vanilla, nutmeg, cloves and hints of pepper.
Finish: Long, sweet and smoky.
Overall: I can only describe this malt as very crisp. It is not overly complex but it leaves no doubt that it is a very fine young Laphroaig, focussing on the essentials.
