Draymans Solera Blend

by Oliver Klimek on October 11, 2011

Blended South African and Scotch whisky – 43%

My Tasting Notes

Colour: Bright amber
Nose A strong rubber attack that later subsides a little, vanilla, raisins, honts of orange zest and nutmeg.
Palate: Vanilla, orange zest, lemon, raisins, but some rubber is still present as well as some pepper.
Finish: Medium long and fruity with a hint of rubber.
Overall: Unfortunately the rather nice base flavour is covered by a rubberiness that is just a bit too dominant.

Rating: 68/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
