Nose Honey, bees wax, vanilla, lemon zest, hints of polished wood and ginger.
Palate: Honey, apple crumble with custard followed by a lemon merengue pie with toasted almonds, hints of ginger and pepper.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly spicy.
Overall: Stripped from its trademark sherry influence, this Aberlour is a great opportunity to taste the plain distillery style.
