My Tasting Notes
Colour: Copper
Nose Smoked ham, raisins, prunes, a mix of exotic spices, a well-polished old oak cupboard, a sea breeze and a faint hints of balsamic vinegar.
Palate: Mild peat, prunes and raisins again, but also savoury, almost meaty notes that are difficult to describe, the balsamic vinegar is present as well as well as wood tannins and a minimal herbal touch.
Finish: Very long with dry, fruity and slightly spicy smoke.
Overall: An incredibly rich peated sherry monster, the savoury quality is stunning. There is much more going on in it than my puny tasting notes can describe.

Hi Oliver,
So glad you liked it. Must point out that this was a 2011 bottling rather than 2001
Oops, that’s of course just a typo. Thanks for pointing out, already corrected…
