Rum from Mexico – 38%
My Tasting Notes
Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Pretty delicate, burnt sugar, raisins, candied lemon, vanilla, some oak and a weak flowery note.
Palate: Creme brulée, orange zest, raisins, vanilla, hints of bergamote and cloves.
Finish: Long, smooth and slightly fruity.
Overall: This is quite a delicate, almost fragile rum. It has a great nose and it’s very nice tastewise, but the low bottling strength takes away some of the pleasure.
