Bourbon barrel 361 – 61.4%
My Tasting Notes
Colour: Straw
Nose: Neat: Faint whiffs of smoke and fruit with a strong helping of crushed black pepper. Water brings out more smoke and fruit and also vanilla.
Palate: Needs water to develop. Mild peat, pineapple, lemon zest, ginger and black pepper, hints of nuts and vanilla.
Finish: Long, spicy and slightly smoky.
Overall: Without water this is a very untypical and somewhat strange Bowmore. But add a spash or two and it will transfrom into a nice albeit somewhat spicy dram.
