Sherry cask 2018 – 52.3%
My Tasting Notes
Colour: Mahogany
Nose: Prunes, blueberries, orange zest, cocoa, old leather, hints of cinnamon and cloves.
Palate: Prunes, orange zest, dark chocolate, strong tea, hints of fresh herbs and white pepper.
Finish: Long, dry and slightly spicy with a meaty touch and a whiff of smoke.
Overall: This very rich malt has to be savoured drop by drop. There are a lot of flavours to explore, but it’s a bit too woody to break the 90 point barrier.
Rating: 89/100 – No price information as this is a collector’s bottle
