My Tasting Notes
Colour: Medium amber
Nose: Raisins, toffee, banana, vanilla, nutmeg, hints of pepper and smoke.
Palate: Mild peat, raisins, grapes, cherries, toffee, wood spice, hints of bacon and nutmeg.
Finish: Long, fruity, slightly dry and slighly smoky.
Overall: Well-balanced and very complex, this is very fine example of a Japanese vatted malt. The general character is rather dry with the fruity notes remaining in the background.
