Bowmore 1990/2010 A. D. Rattray

by Oliver Klimek on July 31, 2011

Cask 272 – 50.2%

My Tasting Notes

Colour: Bright gold
Nose: A sea breeze with whiffs of smoked bacon, strong vanilla, pineapple, hints of cloves. Some water unwraps marzipan.
Palate: Rather strong peat for a Bowmore, vanilla, lemon zest, pineapple, banana, cloves, only hints of bacon on the palate.
Fish: Long and fruity with dry smoke, and finally the bacon returns.
Overall: Quite a dry dram, but very complex and extremely enjoyable. It is very smooth neat, there is not really a need to add much water.

Rating: 88/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
