My Tasting Notes
Colour: Medium gold
Nose: After an initial whiff of grain there is mild fruit, nuts, vanilla and a tiny bit of smoke.
Palate: Honey, vanilla, apples, orange zest, hints of mixed mixed nuts, pepper and nutmeg.
Finish: Long, dry and slightly spicy.
Overall: Quite nice for a blend of this age, with a rather complex flavour profile. It feels a bit “edgy” though

A very good blend IMHO.
i’ve tasted this, and should taste batch #2 which is now out. they should differe, i wonder how much so.
Have you had that one too? oliver?
I was wondering about this too. I think the two additional years could make a difference, but I haven’t tasted the #2 yet.
Batch 2 has arrived at Emporium Towers and although I haven’t written my notes for it yet, my first impression is “very different from #1, very nice, love the coconut leading into the finish which is very reminiscent of Glendullan”.
Batch #2 is sampled. notes written. it’s excellent , better than Batch #1.

Oliver, you need to try it.
I am looking forward to try it, if I can locate it.
