Sherry hogshead 5142 – 50%
My Tasting Notes
Colour: Copper
Nose: A very complex mix of sea air, smoke, fruity sherry, chocolate and mild spices .
Palate: Mild peat, cassis, cherries, dark chocolate, espresso, hints of nutmeg and cloves.
Finish: Very long and fruity with a good deal of smoked bacon.
Overall: This dram is living proof that combining peat and sherry can work very well. Strangely it feels slighty watery neat, but adding a little water gives it some more depth.
Rating: 89/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
