My Tasting Notes
Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Dried apricots, raisins, honey, polished wood, hints of tobacco and nutmeg.
Palate: Honey, a mixed bag of dried fruit and nuts, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish: Very long, fruity and spicy.
Overall: On the nose this malt seems older than it actually is, the palate is more youthful. A very strong attack on nose and palate calls for water which brings out more spices in exchange for sweetness.
