My Tasting Notes
Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Raisins, chocolate, red currant, hints of cloves and nutmeg.
Palate: Gentle peat, chocolate, caramel, hints of dark berries and wood tannins.
Finish: Long, sweet and slightly smoky.
Overall: The port finish adds a fruity touch to this blend that nicely complenents the driness contributed by the wood. But despite the old age there is still a slight harshness to be noticed.
