My Tasting Notes
Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Marzipan, strong liquorice, orange zest, nutmeg.
Palate: Prunes, fudge, chocolate, hints of cinnamon and pepper.
Finish: Long and mildly spicy.
Overall: Noticeably better than the version I tasted in 2009 and also quite different. The flavour profile is a bit unusual but this is quite a pleasant dram.
