My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Dark amber
Nose: Prunes, raisins, toasted almonds, orange zest, hints of tobacco and cloves.
Palate: Raisins, dark but not too dark chocolate, apples, hints of black tea and mild spices.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly dry.
Overall: A fine example of a light bodied malt that has accumulated a lot of sherry goodness during its long maturation. Despite its age the wood remains in the background.
Rating: 86/100 – No price information as this whisky is not (yet?) for sale
