Glen Elgin 30 yo 1978 Cadenhead’s

by Oliver Klimek on May 24, 2011

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Dark gold
Nose: Honey, creme brulée, grapes, hints of cinnamon.
Palate: Apples, grapes, honey, butterscotch, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Finish: Long, fruity and slightly spicy.
Overall: A rich and well-rounded malt that doesn’t show its age. It is easy to drink but still pretty complex. The nose is splendid, but the palate can’t quite keep up.

Rating: 83/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
