Ardbeg 1974/1993 Wilson & Morgan

by Oliver Klimek on May 14, 2011

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Pale straw
Nose: Cold fireplace, liquorice, pineapple, banana.
Palate: Medium peat, pineapple, honey, hints of liquorice and cloves, slightly salty.
Finish: Very long, fruity and smoky.
Overall: This is a very fine example of the legendary old Ardbegs, much more delicacy instead of today’s in-your-face peat. The tropical fruit aromas give it a very intriguing touch.

Rating: 89/100 – No price information as this is a collector’s bottle
