Cask 110 – 61.3%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Very pale
Nose: Vanilla, wet leaves, wood polish, hints of lovage and pepper.
Palate: Sweet herbs, vanilla, lemon zest, white pepper, hints of ginger and chili.
Finish: Long and strange.
Overall: This malt is a good example of what happens when a malt is left for a long time in a nearly incative cask. Random flavour notes appear that seem to have no connection. It can work, but it can also fail. The latter is true here.
