Caol Ila Moch

by Oliver Klimek on April 13, 2011

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Straw
Nose: Rather mild. Smoked ham, sea air, lemon zest, hints of cloves and ginger.
Palate: Mild peat, smoked ham, green tea, hints of citrus fruit and ginger.
Finish: Long, dry and smoky
Overall: This Caol Ila is more gentle than the standard 12 yo, but it is far from being bland and boring. It is a nice introduction to the world of peated whisky, but it is not easy to find in some markets.

Rating: 83/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
