Dailuaine 1974 34 yo Mackillop’s Choice

by Oliver Klimek on March 30, 2011

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Banana, pineapple, vanilla, bee’s wax, polished wood, a faint whiff of smoke.
Palate: Tea, vanilla, a hint of honey and fresh herbs, only weak traces of fruit.
Finish: Medium long and dry.
Overall: The nose of this old malt is fantastic, but palate and finish fail to convince me. This may have matured some years too long.

Rating: 80/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
