American Oak Cask #27 – From Loch Lomond distillery – 45%
My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Gold
Nose: Weak to begin with, growing stronger with time. Vanilla, wet leaves, lemon, hints of nuts and ginger and a whiff of smoke.
Palate: Caramel, a little grassy, nuts and cerals, hints of cheese and pepper.
Finish: Medium long and slightly spicy.
Overall: After a short while, the nose is rather pleasant. The palate is not quite as interesting, though. One of the better farmyard drams of Loch Lomond.
Rating: 72/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
