Clynelish 1997/2010 James MacArthur

by Oliver Klimek on March 19, 2011

Bourbon Cask 4643 – 52.1%

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Pale straw
Nose: A bit weak without water, but then increasing somewhat. Citrus fruit, pineapple, honey, cereals and mild spices.
Palate: Mixed fruit cocktail, vanilla, liquorice, hints of ginger and pepper, just enough smoke to be noticeable.
Finish: Long, dry and fruity.
Overall: The character of this malt reminds me of Highland Park. It is not from the strongest cask but it is still an enjoyable dram.

Rating: 83/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
