My Tasting Notes:
Colour: Rich gold
Nose: Starts on smoked ham but quickly turns into a sea breeze garnished with pineapples and bananas, hints of nutmeg and liquorice.
Palate: Rather gentle peat, tropical fruit, aromatic spices and a surprising note of fresh herbs. Spicier with water.
Finish: Long , fruity and slightly smoky.
Overall: The unusual herbal notes make this a rather unusal Caol Ila. But they are well integrated into a fruity and spicy mix of flavours.
