Glenfarclas 15 yo

by Oliver Klimek on February 10, 2011

My Tasting Notes:

Colour: Bright amber
Nose: Very strong, rum soaked prunes, raisins, chocolate, hints of cinnamon and vanilla.
Palate: Raisins, prunes, honey, hints of strong tea and nutmeg.
Finish: Long, dry and fruity with some smoke at the end.
Overall: Quite a dry sherry dram with rich aromas and a full body. The barrel char smokiness of the finish is almost a little too strong, though.

Rating: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

This is one of my favorite Glenfarclases (younger ones). i think it offers an amazing quality / price ratio and is well made.
